I'm a homesteader and decided to become self-sufficient. It's been the best decision ever, I've learned many things and still continue to learn.
We can all be self-sufficient, Whether we start big or small. I started with simple garden plants, then found out my daughter is allergic to chicken eggs. so next came Coturnix Quail for chicken egg substitution. Then American Gamefowl chicken came to play such beautiful birds, great self feeding chickens this breed loves to forage, next up "Jumbo" Coturnix Quail for a smaller meat bird, which lead up to Broiler chickens for larger meat birds. Last but not least, Rhode Island reds & Easter Eggers for larger eating eggs, and goats as my daughter is also allergic to cows milk so they will be our substitute for milk and another choice of meat. Being self sufficient has been amazing and has boosted my self confidence ✨️ 😌 and everyday I can't wake up and do it again.
