The Phipps Backyard Farm

Unfortunately we accidentally took a labeled fertile egg inside while collecting our daily eggs it had been sitting on our counter for some time so I figured it wasn’t worth taking it back out to our broody hen to continue sitting on it…I decided to crack it open to see if there was any signs of growth and look at this!!!! So cool! Kind wish I would have just taken it back out but it most likely would have became nasty and rotten being it was away from the next for so long. At least I can use it as a cool learning experience for Eli.

 Look!!! We just got a new egg stamp in…it’s gonna take me a little while to figure out how to get it to stamp on the egg perfectly, but I am so excited.

Eli decided that the baby chicks 🐤 definitely would need a toy to play on so in went his toy ranger. What a sweetheart he is towards his baby chickies. EvaJo loves them a little to much at this age 😅 (her being 6 months she try’s to give them very wet kisses).

Our 🐓 ladies still free range in the winter… for the most part (they were getting naughty and making their way to the school parking lot 🤦🏼‍♀️ across the road so they just got fancy new poultry netting added to their run until Mama can trust them again) 😅😂 they will be let out for occasional roaming while being supervised now.
