Mountain View acres started in 2021 with a handful of laying chickens and a small garden.
We dont raise our protein the conventional way. Our animals are pasture raised. We want to work with nature not against it.
The Farm now has grown to include multiple seasonal gardens, over 100 laying hens and seasonal broiler meat chickens.
Our laying hens are moved weekly in our eggmobile. This combines the freedom and diet of grass and bugs found in "free range chickens" with the safety from predators by having them protected by electrified poultry netting.
Our pastured meat broilers spend their life out in the field as well. Being moved twice a day in our mobile shelters called "chicken tractors." The shelters provide protection from predators and extreme weather. They also allow the chickens to forage and hunt down bugs. They are great at regenerating the soil with all manure left by the chickens
