We live on 5 acres of land outside of Mason City. We are raising chickens, ducks, and quail outside where the can forage bugs and weeds as much as they want. At night they are put into a coop to keep them safe.
We also grow as much of our fruits and vegetables as possible. They are all grown naturally without the use of pesticides, insecticides or fertilizers.
