We are from here - my husband and I met at Leander Middle School, graduated from Leander High School, and then graduated The University of Texas at Austin together. Culturally and economically, this area used to be very agricultural. We like to think of selling eggs as sharing a little bit of our culture with you!

His family has kept cattle and other livestock forever, but we’re the first ones to try to keep chickens. We have been keeping them since 2021, and they are our absolute favorite. It’s always a party in the yard with the chickens! Watching that big old rooster jump for treats is hilarious and never gets old. We keep them as pets, but we like to keep enough of them that we have plenty of eggs, which means we almost always have extra to sell!

We also have a blackberry patch, so check for blackberry availability in May and June.

We have a 22 egg incubator and are happy to hatch some chicks by demand. Chicks need to incubate 21 days. Ours are straight run.

Hey y’all,

We’re just a family with young kids who has a passion for learning about homesteading and eating really, really good food.  We love our pet chickens, and want to get some sheep and make manchego one of these days!
