Root & Stem is our micro flower farm in Lakewood, CO. We grow specialty cut-flower varieties that have specifically been selected for long vase life and hardiness in our high plains desert climate! We believe in organic and sustainable growing and working with our environment rather than fighting it. Striving to create both a balanced ecosystem and high quality flowers is challenging, but also much more attainable when growing at our small scale. Fresh local flowers mean bouquets with longer vase lives, that create a minimal carbon footprint, and are not coated in unknown pesticides and preservatives (best practice: always use gloves when handling, cleaning and arranging imported flowers from grocery stores, etc).
